Q. What gear ratio will is best for the course?
A. 2:1 will be fine.
Q. Why do I need to pay if I don't want to race?
A. There is far more to the weekend that just the race! Anyone wanting to come and enjoy the weekend and not enter the race will be able to take part in the guided rides, enjoy the entertainment and all the facilities on offer. Check the entry page for what is included. For security reasons anyone without a weekend pass will not gain entry to the event site.
Q. Who needs a weekend pass?
A. Any adult coming to the event, riding or not will need a Race Entry or Weekend Pass. Children accompanied by adults do not need an entry.
Q. I don't want to pay sixteen quid to spectate!
A. That's not a question, but you can come along and watch the race on its own for free, it's held on forestry commission ground 1 mile up the road from the event site, you just wont be able to gain access to the event site without an entry/pass for security reasons.
Q. Are dogs allowed?
A. Dogs are fine, but need to be kept under control and any mess cleaned up.
Q. Can I enter if I don't own a singlespeed?
A. Yes no problem. Mr Gaffa Tape will be on site Saturday and providing a gear disabling service, free of charge!
Q. Who did this lovely site?
A. That would be Jim at Powerspike, who really needs to do something with his site, cos it looks terribly dated, and some of the linked sites no longer exist.
Q. Can I camp on Sunday night as well?
A. Yes, camping will be available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights although only limited facilities will remain for the Sunday night.
Q. When will I get my ticket/pass?
A. We are not sending out any passes or tickets. There will be a full list of entered riders and weekend pass holders on the gate. Once you are on-site you will be given a wristband and then can come and go from the site as you please.
Q. How do I get to the event site?
A. We are sending out final details with directions with 2 weeks to go. If you are not recieving the updates then send us an email.
